Snowdays...in Texas

Snow, snow, snow, snow...SNOW......It won't be long before we'll all be there with snow.

We could not believe that the week before Valentine's Day we were having snow. And not just a little snow, a LOT of snow. All in all, 12.5 inches of snow. I could not believe it myself. But it started on Thursday, and by Friday the schools were closed.

The kids were so happy. They have never seen so much snow.
Gage built a snow chair.

They had snow ball fights. (No throwing snowballs at Mommy)
With each other .....

and with the neighbors, snow balls were flying.
Charity built a snow fort in the backyard...
as well as many tiny snowmen. Those are socks on the head to look like hair.
But the kids weren't the only ones getting in to the spirit of the winter storm...
This the snowman in front of Jason's Deli across from my building at the hospital. Notice his apron, hat, and Jason's deli bag. Hilarious.
All in all, not my cup of tea. Too cold, but the kids loved it. They will probably never see snow like that in Dallas again, so it was great......this time.
