I want to start out by saying Happy Birthday to our Great Nation! My family feels so blessed to live in this glorious place. Even with all of its faults it is still the greatest land our Heavenly Father has created.
Our weekend started out with a fun cook out with our dear friends at the Meagers. It was a wonderful time, even if we did get rained on. The food was delicious and the company and conversation were even better. I am so grateful to know so many wonderful, caring people.
Sunday was so special, listening to all of the testimonies of gratitude and patriotic pride. It is truly a blessing to hear so many people who know how blessed they are to live here.
After church we went out to Lonestar Park to watch the Stars and Stripes Celebration. It was so much fun to hang out with our great friends, The Emmons, and others. Even with the heat it was fabulous. The fireworks display was phenomenal. Truly a celebration of our country and the pride we should all feel living here.
I hope everyone had a wonderful celebration and always remembers how truly blessed we are.
